Written Reading Responses

You may choose any supplemental readings that interest you throughout the semester to read and submit a response to.1 Each response has a due date, which is listed along with the paper list.

Responses must answer at least three of the following questions.

  • What was the contribution of this paper?
  • What was unclear when you were reading this paper? Why?
  • Consider the references in this paper. What is one paper that you would like to read after reading this, and why?
  • Consider the experiments and evaluation in this paper. What was done well? What could have been improved?
  • Imagine you are thinking about building on this paper for your final project. How would you extend the work that the authors have done?

Your response should include 3 or more full sentences answering each question. Reading responses should be submitted on gradescope.
