Setup

Follow the instructions on the git setup page under Homework and Lab Assignments to open the starter code on your laptop.

Programming

  1. Edit the program HelloWorld.java to output the string “Hello, world!” from the main method.

    Warning

    To earn credit on gradescope, it must be exactly the right string. If you are having trouble, make sure that your case, spacing, and punctuation are all correct!

  2. Edit the program Multiply.java to define a function multiply that takes two integer parameters and returns their product. Uncomment the System.out.println statement to test the function.

Submission

Upload HelloWorld.java and Multiply.java to Gradescope. Continue modifying until your submission successfully passes all tests. When you are finished you may work on Homework 1.
